1) Gina in 'Man and Boy' -- how she gave up so much of her own dreams to be with the man she loves, and was such a responsible mother despite having to sacrifice alot in the midst. But it's sad tt such committed women are not usually appreciated-her husband cheated on her later on.
Jimmy Stewart in "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," this small town scout leader is asked to fill the shoes of his state senator (as a ruse of politicians). He finds out what's going on and stands up for what is right (literally for hours in a filibuster on the senate floor!)
The character JO in Louisa May Alcott's LITTLE WOMEN series (and the film). She learns to write from what she knows and becomes a famouse author.
HERO in Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. What a sassy girl!
JANET COLGATE the female "Prize" character in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (Starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine). She epitomizes being as shrewed as a serpent but innocent as a dove. I LOVE the ending of this movie. She's awesome.
What's the main character's name in CAST AWAY, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL? Captain Corelli...all 3 of these characters for dogged perseverance. Not giving up. Positive outlook in the worst of situations.
In the Kevin Costner's version of ROBIN HOOD, the SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM stole the show, though his name escapes me now. Normally a dour serious actor (like SENSE & SENSIBILITY), he was an incredible villain. He was hysterical in GALAXY QUEST too.
President Bartlett in WEST WING. Or any character on the show for that matter. Oh that I could be THAT smart! I'm so ENVIOUS of their brilliance, wit and knowledge!!!! If you haven't watched this show, I'm going to be showing you samples of scenes from it - Aaron Sorkin is an astounding writer. The best in the business.
On this site you'll find lessons from various courses and workshops I've been teaching. Acting, Scriptwriting, Intro to Theatre, Using Drama in Church...it's all here. Interested in using drama as ministry, or having a ministry to theatre practitioners? See the links at the sidebar.
Kimberly belongs to the tribe of Creatives. They are her people.
She loves to Mentor/Coach women leaders and emerging leaders. Together they cover spiritual, personal & leadership development issues.
New to her is the role of Shepherd to prisoners who call Chattanooga home. Through Chattanooga Endeavors "Stephen's Table" volunteers, she corresponds with them, and ministers to their families. She's looking for more volunteers to write those on the waiting list!
With her husband Jim, they open their home for personal retreats.
