Don’t be late!
If you could
invite anyone to your birthday party, who would you invite?
With your child, write up a
fantasy guest list consisting of three or four people - if they could invite
anyone to their birthday party who would they invite? (A princess, Fireman Sam,
The Queen, a pirate for example). Begin the game by reciting:
Birthday party don’t be
late
We’re ready to have fun
Come on (NAME OF GUEST - e.g. princess)
let's celebrate!
3, 2, 1
After
'3, 2, 1' play some jolly music and dance around with your child in role as
that party guest!
Continue to play the game, each time taking on the role of a
different guest.

This game can be played with
a group of children, or with a single child. Begin by asking the child/ren to
follow your instructions WITHOUT SPEAKING TO ANYONE!

other)
2) Get in to a straight line in birthday order with those children whose
birthdays are in January at one end and December at the other
3) In alphabetic
order (first names)
With a single child (can also
be played with a larger group):
