When I was a baby
This game designed to encourage children to think about themselves when they were babies.

Start this game by encouraging your little one to snuggle down under a blanket in role as a baby. Begin by reciting:
When I was a baby, I slept an awful lot
Snuggled up, nice and warm, in my baby cot
When I was a baby, I played with baby toys
When I was a baby, I made a lot of noise!
At the end of the rhyme encourage your little one to sit up and pretend to cry, then take it in tunrs to play the baby.

What makes you special?
We all know that every child is special but this game is designed to help our little ones realise it too!

Start the game by chatting about what your child can do – jump, sing, twirl for example, and then begin to recite:
What makes me special? Lots of things
I can clap and stamp and sing
What makes you special? Can I see?
Can you show me after three?
Count to three and then get your child to show off their special talent - jumping or hopping for example!

What day is it Mister Wolf?
What day is it _____? A simple re-working of the traditional children’s game, ‘What’s the time Mister Wolf?’
What day is it Mr. Wolf?
Great for teaching children the days of the week.

1. Ask your child to be Mister Wolf, and stand with their back to you
2. Ask your child the question, ‘What day is it Mister Wolf?’
3. Encourage your child to turn around and reply with the one of the days of the week

4. The game should continue until Mister Wolf says, ‘fun day!’ When it’s fun day all players should shout ‘hurrah!’ and mum/dad should pick up Mister Wolf up and spin them around in the air!
