here you'll find a list of icebreaker/warm up games which can be used when the group doesn't all speak the same language.

We also made a list of ways Theatre is being used in cross cultural/mission settings:

multi-cultural touring team (using English, or the national language)
prisons
kids (street, schools, etc)
playback theatre
forum theatre
drama conferences/training
theatre of the oppressed - giving peole a voice/sense of empowerment ie homeless shelter, nursing homes, hospitals
plays to raise awareness of issues in missions
guided writing (about personal & spiritual issues) used in devised theatre projects

Lin Sexton had read a study once which showed that "being listened to measureably changes one's brain chemistry."
