examples pros and con on dealing with issues in raising children)
10:40-10:45 - Welcome Intro to the Creative Parent Tool Box
- Help
maintain and repair around the house.
- What

- In
the same way with parenting we need some typical tools for prevention of
problems and fixing issues that have become problems
10:45-11:05 - 20 minutes Sample Parenting examples
- TOOL
#1 Discpline/ (money, homework, chores)

#3 Good listener (reflective listening)

#4 Role Model (do as I do, not just as I say, in Respecting God, others
& creation)

in groups of 4-6 other issues for parenting at home, decide which are the
top 3 issues (preventative and fixing problems that parents face) NOTE: We
must do our own brainstorming to be prepared!
11:15-11:20
- All
small groups come back – write on white board at least one idea they came
up with
11:20-11:30
- Separate
into age groups parents of 6-7 year olds, 8-9’s, 10-11’s
- Pick
one situation on the board
- Think
of 2 creative ways to handle
it and share them with the group.
11:45-12
- 2
Families come back to demonstrate how to deal with lack of creative
thinking and antisocial behavior to set up the…
- Wrap
up/ Wonder years/ How the kids can benefit. Give a handout. Offer more fun
workshops like this.
