THEME:
God is a good and loving Father,
but He’s also strong.
He’s more powerful than anything else you can imagine.
“If there’s anyone who can appear before Aslan without heir knees knocking, they’re either braver than most or else just silly.”
“Then he isn’t safe?” said Lucy.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the king I tell you.”
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Chapter 8
“People who have not been in Narnia sometimes think that a thing cannot be good and terrible at the same time. If the children had ever thought so, they were cured of it now. For when they tried to look at Aslan’s face they just caught a glimpse of the golden mane and the great, royal, solemn, overwhelming eyes; and they found they couldn’t look at him and went all trembly.”
The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Chapter 12
Up to 20 students with Joke’s group (includes some of Ron’s kids if he sends them)
30 students with CCAM
=50 copies of handouts.
Do you want to translate and have copies made there?
Can we send the worship song over email to expose students to it ahead of time?
We have one more item to choose for translation ahead of time – a children’s story on the theme of Fatherhood of God. We will send this ASAP.
ITEMS for translation
We will use these songs to teach some English, vocal music, and musical theatre exposure, so it will be helpful to give the students the translations to these songs ahead of time.
He Knows My Name
(Tommy Walker. Sung by Paul Baloche, iworship disc 1)
QUESTION:
Is it possible for CCAM to choreograph with simple Khmer steps and teach us?
Perhaps this is something they could present to us on the first day?
We’d like to translate all and as a group be able to sing in both English and Khmer for Sat/Sun events.
I have a maker
He formed my heart
Before even time began,
My life was in his hands.
Chorus (
He knows my name.
He knows my every thought.
He sees each tear that falls,
And hears me when I call.
Verse 2
I have a father.
He calls me his own.
He’ll never leave me
No matter where I roam.
Castle on a Cloud
(Les Miserables, adapted. In the original, the mistreated child sings from a memory of “a lady all in white.” This lady is her mother, a poor woman who had to give the child to another cruel couple to raise for her while this mother worked in the city to make some money.)
There is a castle on a cloud
I like to go there in my sleep
Aren´t any floors for me to sweep
Not in my castle on a cloud
There is a room that´s full of toys
There are my hundred boys and girls
Nobody shouts or talks too loud
Not in my castle on a cloud
There is a man, he’s all in white
Holds me and sings a lullaby
He´s nice to see and he´s soft to touch
He says: "My dear, I love you very much."
I know a place where no one´s lost
I know a place where no one cries
Crying at all is not allowed
Not in my castle on a cloud.

Rules of Improvisation
1. Don’t stick to your ideas only
In improvisation it is teamwork that comes up with everything. If someone comes up with a better idea than yours don’t try to force your idea on everyone.
2. Agree & listen to each other!
Always agree! Arguments & confusion are boring (don’t answer with “No you can’t.” or “I don’t think so.” Answer with statements like: “Yes! and…”
People working together is entertaining and fun. So listen to what your fellow actors are saying and agree with anyone that is thinking fast enough to come up with something, and go with it.
3. Don’t wait for the best idea in the world.
Good ideas don’t come along very often. GO along with anything that someone suggests and let it become a good idea.
4. Be willing to make a fool out of yourself
Improv is for those people who are not afraid of what others think about them. They must be able to do things that are not considered normal behavior. Let go of yourself!
5. Expect to fail sometimes
Those who have become great have also failed successfully. So don’t worry if your improv doesn’t work out nicely, or if you tell a joke that doesn’t make sense to anyone. Skip it and go on. As long as you are improving, that is all that matters. Learn from your mistake, and grow.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or vain conceit,
but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Daily Prayer and Dedication
I praise You and honour You as my Lord and Saviour.
You are in control of all things.
I thank You that You are always with me and will never leave me nor forsake me.
You are the only all-powerful and only wise God.
You are kind and loving in all Your ways.
I love You and thank You that I am united with Christ and spiritually alive in Him.
I choose not to love the world or the things in the world,
and I crucify the flesh and all its passions.
Thank You for the life I now have in Christ.
I ask You to fill me with the Holy Spirit
so I may say no to sin and yes to You.
I declare my total dependence upon You,
and I take my stand against Satan
and all his lying ways.
I choose to believe the truth of God’s Word
despite what my feelings may say.
I refuse to be discouraged;
You are the God of all hope.
Nothing is too difficult for You.
I am confident that You will supply all my needs
as I seek to live according to Your Word.
I thank You that I can be content
and live a responsible life
through Christ who strengthens me.
I now take my stand against Satan
and command him and all his evil spirits
to depart from me.
I choose to put on the full armour of God
so that I might be able to stand firm against al the devil’s schemes.
I submit my body as a living and holy sacrifice to God,
and I choose to renew my mind by the living Word of God.
By so doing I will be able to prove that the will of God is good, acceptable and perfect for me.
In the name of my Lord and Saviour,
Jesus Christ,
Amen.
